Dr. Michael O. Evans
Pastor Evans has roots that run deep in Mississippi. He is a native of Lawrence County, Mississippi and resides with his wife Dionna Lewis Evans and their three children, Makiyah, Mariah, and Michael Jr. (M.J.) in Jefferson Davis County. The son of Margarette Evans and Dr. O.D. Evans, Pastor Evans was ordained on July 26, 1992. Pastor Evans has been blessed to pastor for over 26 years.
Education: Pastor Evans hold three degrees from Lift Bible Crusade College in Ocean Springs, Ms; a Bachelor's degree, a Master's in Theology, and a Doctorate in Theology. In addition to Lift Bible Crusade College, Pastor Evans has completed studies at Moody Bible College, Ashland Theological Seminary, Copiah Lincoln Community College, and Alcorn State University.
Personal statement: "I am not motivated by accomplishments or accolades. I would rather be known for reaching the masses with the mercy of the Master". He reflects often on a favorite scripture, Psalm 121.
Pastor Evans enjoys spending time with his family and loves God's people. He is community oriented, loves laughter and fun and in his free time enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, writing, singing and recording Gospel music. He has served on the Board of Supervisors in Jefferson Davis County since 2012.
